Nytro, Phazer, Apex, RX-1,
& Vector Supercharger Kits
Stage
I Performance:
Stage I kits are intended for a maximum of 11 PSI (slightly less at extreme
altitudes over 10,000 ft). At 10 to 11 PSI we recommend all models use a 50/50
mix of Premium Gas (92+ R+M/2 Octane) and Race Gas (110+ Motor Octane) -
or better yet 100% race gas. Kits can be run at 5-7lbs of boost (recommend 5psi
at sea level). Each pound of boost is equal to approximately a 10HP increase, so
when decreasing boost to run pump gas, you can apply that information to
determine HP. Stage 1 Nytro produces 220HP at 11PSI. The Phazer kit ships at 140HP at 11pounds of boost. The
Apex is shipping at 240+HP at 10 pounds of boost. The
RX-1 boasts a consumer friendly 230+HP also at 10 pounds of boost. Vector Stage
I is well in excess of 200HP at just over 10 pounds of boost. For those
desiring more power, numbers in excess of 270 to 350+HP is coming on Stage II
and Stage III.
Stage
II Performance:
Stage
II horsepower is limited only by the OEM motor durability and the OEM fuel
system on EFI models. With stage II at sea level we recommend the installation
of 10:1 pistons for any Stage 2 mod. We recommend 100% race gas, but a 50/50 mix of Premium Gas (92+ Octane)
and Race Gas (110+ Octane) is acceptable up to 14 PSI. At high altitude
(over 6000ft it is recommended that you run stock pistons up to 14PSI). EFI
models require a fuel system upgrade to run beyond 14PSI of boost. Therefore, we
offer 2 types of Stage II kits, Stage 2A & Stage 2B. Stage 2A does not require
fuel system mods, while stage 2B kits include an upgraded fuel management system
including a new pump and a patented closed loop electronic fuel pressure control
system. Stage 2B kits are not recommended for altitudes in excess of 6000 ft, at
the Stage II supercharger only produces about 14PSI at extreme altitudes. High
altitude customers should consider Stage III kits for more power than Stage 2A.
Stage 2A Apex is shipping at 280HP
and the stage 2 RX-1 just slightly less at 270HP.
Stage III Performance:
Stage III Kits are the same as Stage II, with the addition of
an upgraded fuel management system including a new pump and a patented closed
loop electronic fuel pressure control system plus
a larger supercharger. We
recommend pistons, studs & rods when the motor is upgraded to Stage III. Stage III is capable of over 350HP.
