Greatly improve your sled's acceleration along with lightning quick back-shifting and improved throttle response! The Roller Secondary design provides both excellent performance and durability for your YVX secondary. This design features high tech composite rollers requiring no bearing or lubrication which provides both excellent performance and durability. The lightweight aluminum helix and roller cover design allows the clutch to react very quickly to both back-shifting and throttle changes. The efficiency of the roller design allows for the use of aggressive multi-angle helixes, which greatly improve acceleration while still providing an excellent back-shift. 

MPI knows the Mountains. There are two kinds of backs shifts: 1) RPM Change (you let off the throttle going into a corner) and 2) Load Change (you are going up a hill and the terrain gets steeper and power falls off due to increasing altitude). The 1st example is an active backshift which all sleds experience, the 2nd example applies only to Mountain Riding. This clutch reacts to both circumstances where the average flat lander has never considered the 2nd type of backshift. Uses stock Yamaha Springs.

Multi-Angle Helixes - Fits your stock Clutch


A Multi-angle Helix is one of the best ways to improve your sled's performance. A two stroke engine has significant torque and horsepower increase at low RPM. As RPM's increase, the torque increase begins to lessen. By using a Multi-angle Helix, you can compensate for the low speed torque increase, Having a high initial angle allows the clutch to shift quickly, responding to the significant torque increase. As the rate of torque lessens and the clutches continue to shift, the Helix angle decreases at a constant rate, slowing the shift to compensate for the drop in torque increase.

The first number is the initial angle; the higher the angle (or number) the faster the shift rate. The higher the number the lower the shift RPM. The angle changes at a constant rate to the lower angle. The lower the second angle (or number) the higher the shift RPM.

LIGHTWEIGHT BRAKE ROTOR & HUB

The most effective way to reduce weight is by reducing rotating weight. Each pound of rotating weight is equal to 7lbs of stationary weight. 

Our lightweight MM/Mtn Viper hub & stainless steel rotor eliminates 2.2 pounds of rotating weight (but it feels like 15). Rotors are stainless steel and hubs are 7075 aluminum.
The RX-1 Rotor & Hub saves 1 pound.

WEIGHTLESS PARKING BRAKE

Eliminate over 1 pound of useless weight. Our new Parking Brake mounts under the OEM Brake assembly. It provides a small spring loaded Wedge that rides in a track. This wedge holds the OEM hydraulic brake on (like all other manufactures). With one hand squeeze the handle and the unit automatically releases.

DOUBLE ROW ANTI-RATCHET DRIVERS
8T, 9T or 10T AND 7T and 8T 3" Pitch

These are the latest in anti-ratchet driver design. They feature extra banded hubs and 2 rows of involute drive nubs (stock style) in addition to the anti-ratchet cog style nubs. The extra wide banded hub makes them less prone to spin on the axle. This will allow you to run your track much looser than stock, which means more power. These drive the track windows and the stock inside nubs. Used in pairs, they eliminate all the stock drivers. Two drivers per sled required. Sold each.

New 3" pitch also available in the exact same design. For use on new 3" pitch Camoplast 2.5" Tracks and New 153&162" Cat Tracks.

A 3" Pitch 7 Tooth Driver is the same diameter and a standard 8T

DRIVE AXLES - Steel or Titanium
Eliminate OEM Axle Breakage

If you have a 97-00 Yamaha Sled, there is a good chance your axle will break. 2001 and later models already have the updated OEM axle. If your axle has been replaced, you can identify the new style axle by the small notch cut in the end of the axle. The old axle just has a chamfered edge (45 degree angle).

MPI’s Titanium Axle is slightly oversized at 1.100 vs stock at 1.063 weighing just 3.2lbs (Stock 5.4lbs).

Titanium Jackshafts saved less than 1 pound and have therefore been discontinued.
